These ancient Fijian masi designs are now also being used by Fiji Airways as their identity. Although this has caused some controversy, the designs all have significant meanings which I am eager to learn more about.
Qalitoka – symbolizes the unity of people to one mind set in executing a given task. Kaso – Represents the canoe that carries villagers, farmers, fisherman and carpenters together for the success of the villages.
Makare – Evokes the allure of clear water flowing on a white sandy beach. Rova – Symbolizes the warm greeting fijians extend to visitors.
